Formula overview
This petrolatum and lanolin-based lip balm creates a rich, protective barrier to lock in moisture and soothe dry or chapped lips. It also contains castor seed oil and cupuaçu seed butter for added nourishment, and contains flavor.
Compatibility
This petrolatum and lanolin-based formula is ideal for dry or chapped skin, providing a heavy occlusive barrier that locks in moisture with the help of castor oil and beeswax. However, the presence of fragrance and natural allergens like citronellol and geraniol may be sensitizing for those with reactive or extremely sensitive skin.

More emotional purchase than rational — and I'm completely fine with that
I was sceptical about paying this much for a lip balm but I've been buying Balm Dotcom for three years now. The Original scent is warm vanilla — genuinely comforting to use. It's thick without being sticky and actually heals my lips rather than just coating them temporarily. One by my bed, one in my bag, one on my desk. It works beautifully as a base under matte lipsticks and on its own for lazy days. More of an emotional purchase than a rational one at this point, and I'm completely fine with that.
